What will ALMA offer?
At present ALMA offers a post-graduate programme leading to a Master of Arts in Leadership and Management Degree. The programme is part-time and is aimed at leaders, professional and business people who have attained a first degree or equivalent.

Masters in Leadership and Management
The aim of this programme is to train leaders to integrate contemporary leadership and management practice with biblical principles within the African context. The programme consists of modules. A student is required to take 10 modules and complete a 15 000 word dissertation successfully in order to earn their degree.
SHORT DESCRIPTIONS OF MODULES
RESEARCH METHODS & WRITING- equips the learner with skills in research methods, critical thinking, information technology, personal learning, study styles and effective research writing.
STRATEGIC PLANNING- provides the skills that managers must apply to achieve the crucial goals and performance standards concerning the use of capital, physical and technological resources.
FINANCIAL RESOURCE MANAGEMENT- prepare the necessary tools and basic understanding on financial analyses. The module will introduce the financial analyses in risk and return, valuation, capital budgeting and ethics in financial stewardship.
LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT: Designed to enable the learner to understand the biblical, philosophical and cultural perspectives of leadership development and apply these theories at the personal, organization and community levels.
BIBLE, CULTURE & CONTEMPORARY LEADERSHIP: Created for the learner to critically, relevantly and creatively think about the interaction between biblical, cultural and present-day leadership issues.
MANAGEMENT THEORY & PRACTICE: Developed to facilitate the learner’s understanding of the nature and dynamics of institutional growth, the management of change and capacity building.
HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT: Designed to enable the learner to understand the needs and potential of labourers and to maximize the learners’ contribution to the achievement of organizational purposes.
BALANCING PERSONAL, RELATIONAL AND PUBLIC LIFE IN LEADERSHIP: Designed to allow the learner to critically explore issues and cultivate values relating to the integration of his/her own interpersonal relationships in private and public life.
TRANSFORMING LEADERSHIP IN THE AFRICAN CONTEXT: Developed to help the learner integrate biblical and professional perspectives on leadership for the spiritual, moral and social transformation of African society to come to fruition.
DISSERTATION PROPOSAL – Equips the learner with skills to develop their own dissertation research design.
EDUCATIONAL LEADERSHIP - Designed for practicing teachers, school heads, adult educators and facilitators that undertake a Masters in Educational Leadership. It hopes to inculcate theoretical and practical concepts of Educational Leadership. The emphasis is both in skill development and transformation of learners.
GOVERNANCE - Exposes learners to critical issues of governance, good governance and political leadership with a very strong emphasis on the transformation of learners within the African context.
